  • 500g phyllo pastry
  • 400g mixed nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds)
  • 200g butter, melted
  • For syrup: 300g honey, 200g sugar, 200ml water, rose water, cinnamon stick, lemon zest

Finely chop nuts, mix with cinnamon.

Brush baking dish generously with butter.

Layer 8 sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter.

Spread half the nut mixture.

Top with remaining phyllo, buttering each sheet.

Cut diamond shapes before baking.

Bake at 325F for 45-50 minutes until golden.
