  • 250g plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 250ml boiling water
  • Oil for frying
  • Cinnamon sugar for coating
  • For thick chocolate: 150g dark chocolate, 300ml whole milk, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch

Mix flour, salt and sugar. Pour over boiling water and beat until smooth dough forms.

Rest 10 minutes.

Heat oil to 350F.

Fill a piping bag with a large star nozzle.

Pipe 6-inch strips directly into hot oil.

Fry 3-4 minutes until golden and crisp.

Drain and immediately roll in cinnamon sugar.

Make thick chocolate: whisk cornstarch into cold milk, heat with chocolate and sugar until thick.
