First opened in 2006, Brown's Cow proudly serves ice cream to the Phoenixville community. Founded by Phoenixville's Warren Brown, Brown's Cow started as a family owned and operated stand that quickly gained popularity for its traditional appearance and fantastic ice cream. Brown's Cow provides home made waffle cones, dipped cones of varying kinds, and well known (and enjoyed) milkshakes.
Brown's Cow opens each year on tax day and gives out free green ice cream to - according to Mr. Brown "give people a little Green back on tax day". After May rolls around, Brown's Cow enters Summer Hours where it runs seven days a week until the middle of September. The store closes on the first Friday weekend in October.
Starting small, the Cow's menu rapidly expanded to fill a wide palette of tastes and now tops 40 flavors of traditional ice cream alone, with additional options for Sorbet, Tofutti, Banana Splits and Sugar-Free Ice Cream to satisfy anyone's frozen food needs. Featured flavors vary with the season.
Brown's Cow is proud to announce itself as a recipient of 2012's Best of Philly award, and the year after as a Best of Main Line recipient. Brown's Cow also boasts the Best of Main Line award for 2013.
